On Saturday Oct 4th, I had the opportunity to ride again in the Fallon No Hill 100 Bike Ride. I rode with our bike team - Mark Hansen, Andy Getas, Thomas Chandler and Danny Fierro. We ride together almost every Wed in Carson City.The Fallon 100 started at 7:30 am. It looked like the day before we would have rain but it blew over.
Mark and Thomas are the rookies on our team so we paced ourselves and followed them and we finished 65 miles of the ride. Riding bikes gives a picture to me of the Christian life.
You have to ride the bike yourself but when you bike you need a team member. They help you to keep your cadence, they encourage you, when you get a flat tire, they stop and help you change the tire. You learn about biking from more experienced bikers. You learn what to do and what not to do. I have been biking for 4 years now and really have found great fun, friendships and challenges through biking.
